CCTV Surveillance

CCTV cameras in Swale are operated by:

• our Community Safety Unit at Swale House
• Kent Highways Services
• Highways England
• other, private companies including garages

The CCTV cameras operated by us provide 24 hour a day surveillance and footage from these cameras are sent to the CCTV Control Center.

Additional mobile CCTV cameras are temporarily installed by us along some highways and in public spaces. They're located in areas that have been identified by Kent Police as having high rates of anti-social behavior or crime, for protection of the public and crime prevention.

Storage of images

Footage received from our CCTV cameras across Swale is stored for 28 days at the CCTV Control Center
